Convenience and Entertainment

The 2018 Versa has four trims: S, S Plus, SV, and SL. The base model is equipped with Bluetooth hands-free wireless tech, illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls, air conditioning, auxiliary input, Radio Data System, speed-sensitive volume control, and a 4-speaker audio system. The S Plus adds a rear spoiler with integrated LED brake lights and cruise control.

The SV adds an Integrated Key with remote keyless entry, upgraded cloth seat tri, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and silver and chrome interior accents. It also features USB connectivity for smartphones and comes available with a 5-inch color audio display. You might also want to ask your Valley Nissan rep about the SV Special Edition Package, which adds styling features, Sirius XM Radio, a RearView Monitor, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more.

The Versa SL comes standard with the NissanConnect system with Navigation and Mobile Apps, Intelligent Key with push-button ignition, Sirius XM Traffic and Travel Link, hands-free text assistant, 5.8-inch color touchscreen monitor, and Bluetooth streaming audio. You can also add an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror with HomeLink universal transceiver and digital compass as an accessory to any trim.

Performance and Fuel Economy

The Versa is an efficient, lightweight vehicle, so it's not the most powerful on the road. Under the hood, it has a 1.6-liter inline-4 engine that makes 106 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque. The Versa S has a 5-speed manual transmission, while upper trims have a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Models with a CVT have a fuel economy of up to 31 MPG city and 39 MPG highway, while the manual gets 27 MPG city and 36 MPG highway. Its efficiency makes the Versa a smart buy because, in addition to the low up-front costs, it'll continue to save you money at the pump down the line, making it a perfect option for college students and commuters.

Safety and Security

All models of the 2018 Versa come equipped with the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front air bags and occupant classification sensors, as well as Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control, Zone Body construction with front and rear crumple zones, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The SL also has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System with Easy-Fill Tire Alert and Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System.
